The world is now a global village, competition is no longer local but now global. Ideas, concepts and frameworks must be relevant globally or it will sink.

The era of mediocrity and the usual “local champion” mind-set is over. It is no longer cool to simply import ideas from external places and deploy locally, you lose in the long term. Ideas must be universally valid or it cannot compete. It is OK to deploy ideas, technologies and frameworks from the abroad. It is not a crime, but we must start thinking hard about how we can improve such ideas, and how new ideas of local origin can go global.
